Welcome For NEW Dealers Who Have Never Sold at Our Show
We held our first Rock, Gem & Mineral Show in October 1967. We are looking forward to our 56th show Saturday, October 28, and Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the Expo Center in the heart of downtown Springfield. Setup will be Friday, the 27th, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Over the past few years, local television has been our primary source of quality advertising. In addition, we have been expanding to various means of online advertising. We see increased benefits each year, including attendance, and continue to increase our advertising budget and methods.
If you are interested in being a part of our Show, please review the SAMPLE Contract and complete the Dealer Application Form at the bottom of this page. We will begin the dealer selection process soon, with selected applicants notified no later than April 30th, 2023.
NOTE: Since most of our vendors return each year, booth availability is quite limited.
Our Dealer selection process is based on experience, products, and professionalism (business and personal). We diligently strive to invite exceptional and diverse Dealers with interesting, special, and unique: rocks, gems, minerals, fossils, and related products. While we do not try to limit your product line, we like to have limited product repetition from Dealer-to-Dealer. Booth assignments are based on the number of years a Dealer has displayed at our shows. Small Booths (72 linear feet), as well as a few “Boutique” spaces (12-24 lineal feet) of covered and skirted tables, may still be available. We hope you will submit your application to be considered.

Considering the payment as set forth below, OGMS will furnish the Dealer with tables, chairs, and floor space for their use during the show. OGMS shall not in any way be liable to the Dealer should it fail to conduct the show for any reason beyond the control of OGMS. Dealer agrees that if any pertinent rules or regulations by city, county, state, or other regulatory organizations are in conflict with this contract, those rules will be in effect regardless of previous agreements made between the Dealer and OGMS.
Dealer must set up his/her assigned space between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm on Friday, October 27th.
Show hours for 2023 will be 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 28th, and 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Sunday, October 29th. Each Dealer’s booth shall be clean, complete, and occupied during all of the show’s open hours. Each Dealer shall occupy only the space assigned to them and in no way extend or encroach beyond the outer footprint of the assigned space.
All material and merchandise exhibited or offered for sale by the Dealer shall be priced, labeled honestly and correctly, and related to rocks, minerals, gems, and fossils. OGMS reserves the right to remove from sale any such material or merchandise that, in its sole judgment, is misrepresented. And, if necessary, to close without refund of rental fee the Dealer space of any Dealer so involved and not in compliance. Dealer agrees to adhere to all rules set forth by OGMS and their Show Chair Person.
No Dealer may use “carnival” type methods, including but not limited to boisterous methods of selling or employment of voice amplifiers, loudspeakers, megaphones, or flashing lights. Unlicensed retailing in any area of show premises, on the grounds, or in parking lots is prohibited. Grab bags (under any name) will be sold only by OGMS.
Dealer has responsibility for insurance on his/her property, employees, and sales. OGMS, its officers, and its representatives will be indemnified and held harmless for any damage, suit expense, claim, or loss to the Dealer or his/her employees, agents, or customers during the setup, show, and removal periods. OGMS will furnish public liability insurance. At least one OGMS member will always be present, including overnight Friday and Saturday. Furthermore, OGMS shall provide at least one Security Monitor during all hours the Show is open.
There will be absolutely NO SMOKING in the show building. Dealers will sell NO CANDY FOOD or DRINK.
This contract shall not become effective until and unless an original contract and a copy are signed by the Dealer and the OGMS Show Chair Person, the appropriate space rental deposit, final payment, and additional table fees are paid by the due dates, and the contract is delivered to OGMS.
- Dealer shall not assign this contract nor sublet any of the space allotted by OGMS.
- Dealer assumes full responsibility for payment of all their state and local taxes.
- Check your preferred space choice below AND the number of additional 6′ tables you may desire.
- Add the two FEEs & enter them in the Total FEE box, and initial at the end of that row in the designated box.

- Dealers may request one 6 ft X 18″ table for cash register use at no extra cost.
- ALL tables must be kept inside your assigned booth area.
- No other tables will be allowed inside your booth unless Show Chairperson approves.
When assigning booth space OGMS will take into consideration such factors as, but not limited to, previous shows of ours you have attended as a Dealer and the postmarked date on your signed contract.
The Dealer signed contract must be accompanied by a deposit check equal to ½ of your selected size booth rental fee and returned to OGMS by May 31, 2023. ALL remaining unpaid balance for the Dealer space rental fee is due no later than August 1, 2023. OGMS will accept no cancellations after September 1, 2023, unless OGMS can find a suitable replacement. In the event of non-performance of the terms of this contract by the Dealer, any amounts paid by him/her shall be considered as liquidated damages and retained by OGMS.
Sign and return one contract with your deposit. Make checks payable to “OGMS.” Please keep the second copy for your records.
It is understood and agreed that signing this contract constitutes each party’s voluntary acceptance of its terms and provisions. There are no agreements, oral or written, by and between the parties pertaining to the show except those contained herein.
